This master planned community was named one of the best places to live in America by Money Magazine. There are almost 100,000 people that live here now and it is predicted to double in 10 years. Summerlin got it’s name from the Howard Hughes Corporation or Summa Corporation who is the developer of this 25,000 acre project. Howard’s grandmother was named Summerlin. If you ask some of the locals that live in Summerlin, they will tell you that they like the community because of it’s proximity to the Red Rock Canyon area.  If you like outdoor activities like hiking, jogging, mountain biking and climbing, Red Rock Canyon is one of the best places to go in Nevada. The average household income in Summerlin is over 100,000 and there are nine golf courses throughout the development. Expect home prices to be higher in Summerlin but most will say it’s worth the extra cost. Prices range anywhere from the 300’s to multi million dollar mansions with 10 car garages. If the high life is what you are looking for, Summerlin is a good choice.
