Ryland Homes unveils the first phase of two neighborhoods this weekend within Mountain's Edge, a master-planned community in the southwestern Las Vegas Valley.

Cameron at Mountain's Edge offers four floor plans, ranging from 1,354 to 2,030 square feet with two to four bedrooms and 2 to 3 1/2 baths. Prices start from the upper $200,000s.

Residence One features a loft and an upstairs tech center, while Residence Two turns a conventional two-story floor plan upside down with a family room and two bedrooms on the first floor and the great room, dining room, island kitchen and master suite on the second floor. Residence Three's two-story design includes an entry that leads directly to the great room, and walk-in closets in all three bedrooms. Residence Four offers a third floor, with the great room, dining room and island kitchen on the second floor.

Crestone at Mountain's Edge also offers four floor plans, with square footages from 1,582 to 2,197. They provide three or four bedrooms, and 2 1/2 or three baths. Prices start from the low $300,000s.

The two-story Residence One features an open kitchen, dining room and great-room design. Residence Two is similar to Cameron's Residence Two. Residence Three and Residence Four are highlighted by a courtyard with a balcony overlook from the master bedroom in Three, and a master suite with a retreat in Four. All homes have two-car garages.

Among the community's signature features are Exploration Peak and, located at the base of the mountain, Exploration Park, a Western-themed facility.

Several additional parks are planned, including a 300-acre regional park with baseball and sports fields. Four other communities are planned to feature tennis courts.

The builder offers its TrueU design center for home buyers, and financing options through Ryland Mortgage.

To visit, take the Las Vegas Beltway to Rainbow Boulevard, go south to Blue Diamond Road and turn west. Proceed to Buffalo Drive and turn left, then right on Gomer Road, and right on Quarterhorse Lane. The temporary sales center is on the left. Hours are from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily except Mondays, when it opens at noon.
