Madera neighborhood. The builder recently opened the models to the public after hosting an event for existing buyers. More than 70 percent of the homes in the neighborhood are already sold. Another release is planned this month. "It's not at all surprising that these homes have been selling well, even without model homes to view," said Gwen Carrington, marketing manager for the builder. "The design aesthetic and quality in construction that's synonymous with Toll Brothers is widely known and they're an important part of the community at Mountain's Edge." The gated neighborhood provides a total of five floor plans, ranging from 2,938 to 4,178 square feet. Select floor plans feature courtyards. The homes are situated on lots averaging about 10,000 square feet. Interior amenities include a choice of six granite slab islands. Also standard are spa tubs and separate showers in each master bath. Prices start at $719,975. The builder plans to open another neighborhood, Mirasol, later in the spring. Mountain's Edge closed out 2005 with a total of 2,473 new home sales contracts and 778 total closings. It is the top-selling community of its kind west of Florida, according to Robert Charles Lesser & Co., a leading independent real estate advisory firm. Mountain's Edge is planned to include four elementary schools, two middle schools and a high school at buildout, as well as a fire station, shopping centers, restaurants and more than 500 acres of trails and parks. The 80-acre Exploration Park, one of six parks, will encompass a Western-themed area with an Old West town, Native American play structures, an archeological dig area, water play area and other attractions.
