KB Home celebrates debut of Sunset Ridge in southwestern valley

KB Home will host the grand opening celebration of Sunset Ridge from 1 to 4 p.m. today in the southwestern Las Vegas Valley.

In attendance will be members of the Las Vegas Wranglers hockey team, and fans can enter a drawing for an autographed team jersey or owner's suite seats at a Wranglers home game. Additionally, all families will receive a four-pack of tickets to a game, while supplies last.

"This is a great opportunity to come out and meet your hometown hockey team," marketing director Bonnie Hernandez said. "The Wranglers have had a great season, and are now the number one team in the West Division of the National Conference."

The subdivision offers two-story homes with three to five bedrooms and two-car garages. Prices start from the low $300,000s.

Four of the five floor plans are modeled.

A bonus room is featured in the Sunset model, which measures 2,325 square feet, and in the Dusk model, a 2,035-square-foot home. The Golden Sky is 2,303 square feet and includes a den, and the Sundown is 1,658 square feet and has a loft. All homes are Water Smart and Energy Star compliant.

To visit, take the Las Vegas Beltway south to Sunset Road and head west. The models are open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily except Mondays, when they open at 11 a.m.

KB Home has more than 40 active subdivisions in Southern Nevada. Its design center is located at 7440 Dean Martin Drive, Suite 201, just south of Warm Springs Road. The company's Homebuyers Club assists potential buyers with credit reports, a review of their financial situation and credit counseling, if needed, all at no charge. The club is located in the builder's main office at 5655 Badura Ave., just southwest of the Las Vegas Beltway and Decatur Boulevard
