Welcome to Lake Las Vegas;

feel like you are on vacation year around

  If you have been looking for something different and unique, Lake Las Vegas may just be the one you have been dreaming of. Plan a trip out to this fabulous community and check out all the great amenities and resort style living that makes this such a special place. Stop by one of the many great restaurants and have lunch with the locals. Ask them how they like living in the community. The response is always very positive and helpful. It almost has a small beach town feel with friendly people. Have fun and take the whole family.

 The vision for Lake Las Vegas dates back to 1960 when Carlton Adair and the National Park Service exchanged land resulting in Adair receiving a 2,245-acre piece of land in exchange for property he owned on Lake Mead.

 The two-mile-long lake at Lake Las Vegas was created in 1990 with the completion of an eighteen-story, 4,800 foot long dam with water from Lake Meade, two miles away, filling the canyon in the hilly high desert countryside. Lake Las Vegas has a maximum depth of 145 feet and an average elevation of 1,400 feet above sea level. This 320-acre lake with 10 miles of shoreline is the largest man-made lake in Nevada.

 Transcontinental Properties, Inc. has developed the $4 billion Lake Las Vegas master-planned community which is 17 miles from the "strip". There are two distinct neighborhoods at Lake Las Vegas, Northshore which is a destination resort area and Southshore, a residential neighborhood.

 The signature resort village of MonteLago, developed by Intrawest, focuses on the harbor and is modeled after the waterfront villages of Europe. There is a Pontevecchio-style bridge spanning the lake. With the winding cobblestone streets, quiet piazzas, charming shops and picturesque waterfront walkways, you may just think you are in Europe.

 Lake Las Vegas also has two private Jack Nicholas-designed golf courses with incredible views, a luxury 500-room Hyatt Regency Resort, and a private yacht club and marina. Lot prices start in the high $200,000's, condos are available in a luxury hi-rise starting about $250,000 and homes range from about $400,000 to over $6,000,000. You can create your dream home and build it among the mountains, alongside the Nicklaus-designed golf courses, or along the shoreline of Lake Las Vegas.
